The brief

As part of marketing and PR agency Sociatech’s extended team I produce wide-ranging content for prominent clients in the technology, media and creative sectors including Exponential Audio, Softube, e-instruments, and Sound Radix. My briefs range from technical product descriptions and online content, to press releases and e-newsletters, brand consultation, and proofreading. Sociatech also employ me to turn audio interviews with high-profile users of technical products into interesting ‘journalistic’ articles (like you’d read in a Sunday supplement) to be published online - creating buzz and authority around a brand.

The challenge

The challenge early on was to immerse myself in the world of music technology, with which I wasn’t previously familiar. I’ve quickly become very knowledgeable about the competitor brands out there, skilled at deciphering complex technical language, and expert at bringing intricate audio technology alive - whether I’m digesting it down to a press release, crafting enticing web copy, or writing a long interview with a famous film composer or audio producer.

The results

Sociatech use me for many of their clients, my work being rated across the board for its clarity, accuracy and brand authenticity. I have added real interest to websites to build repeat visits and develop a loyal following, produced effective press releases generating significant media interest, and made interviewees and their products jump off the page.
