The brief

Setting up as a new service providing virtual business support, Fran at Taylor Made PA briefed me to write her entire website from scratch, including an attention-grabbing homepage and a breakdown of the variety of services she provides. She wanted to present herself as professional, flexible, reliable and efficient; and also highlight the real benefits of hiring a virtual PA – a relatively new practice with which not everyone would be familiar.

The challenge

Before we could begin writing web copy, I had to get the client to think about her brand voice – the language she wanted to use to talk about Taylor Made PA’s offer and ethos, and how she wanted to engage with her customers. As this was a brand-new start-up business there was no existing web copy to use as a starting point, so I had several in-depth meetings with Fran to draw information out of her and work out what exactly she wanted to communicate and with what voice.

The results

Fran was thrilled with the end results, feeling that I’d translated really rough ideas into impactful and interesting copy setting an expert professional tone for her new business. She feels I so “get” her brand voice that she has now briefed me to write a regular blog for Taylor Made PA on an ongoing basis.
