The brief

North-East-based Ward Robinson have made a name for themselves designing bespoke spaces from Michelin-starred restaurants to office space, leisure centres and visitor attractions, as well as providing project management services for huge capital and urban regeneration projects. They wanted to take a fresh look at their online brand, and asked me to develop an authentic tone of voice to more accurately capture their real values and selling points, followed by a comprehensive update to their web content to reflect this tone.

The challenge

Working with creative agency JUMP, I worked hard to understand exactly how Ward Robinson wanted to come across to their customers online, what they did not like about their existing web copy, and how we could most authentically capture what it was that set their business apart from their competitors. I developed a voice that really conveyed the timeless trusted quality of the company in a mature yet understated way. I then had to overhaul the copy right across their extensive website, including their About Us pages and 40 varied client case studies.

The results

Ward Robinson were really pleased with the new copy, feeling it captured perfectly their brand tone and approach - a vast improvement on the previous content - and gave their refreshed website a new level of professionalism and far greater impact and engagement.
